How to play the New York Lotto
In order to win the New York Lotto Jackpot, you will be required to match all of the 6 main numbers drawn. The Bonus Number is the seventh number drawn and is used only for determining the 2nd prize level. The additional number cannot be chosen and it will be selected randomly at the time of the ticket is purchased. If you match 5 out of the 6 main numbers but one of your selected numbers matches the 7th number drawn (the Bonus), you can win the 2nd prize. For this reason the Bonus Number is not identified on your ticket as a separate number. There are four secondary prize categories available to any player that matches three, four or five of the winning numbers drawn. Please note that the Bonus number only affects the second prize and is not used for the lower prize level payouts.
